Willem is a Director in the Assurance division at SNG Grant Thornton. He has over 23 years of experience as an external auditor with the last 10 years has been mainly in the public sector as a senior audit manager and in recent years as an assurance director on Transnet audit engagement.

He served as an Audit Manager with Grant Thornton and SizweNtsalubaGobodo where he obtained external audit experience over a wide range of clients in various industries. He was also responsible for technical training of trainee accountants, and preparation of AFS in terms of IFRS.
