Gert’s journey has been shaped by persistence, hard work, and a passion for making a difference. During his time as a Forensic Accounting student at NWU, serving on the Student Council and as a Peer Helper, leadership experiences were key influences.
Starting his career at a big four firm in fraud and investigations, he gained valuable global experience, reinforcing the idea that success comes from effort. Pursuing a dream of moving to the countryside, he further developed personal growth and community involvement.
Joining SNG Grant Thornton as a consultant, Gert has continued to grow, working with exceptional teams and delivering high-quality service.

He is a father of 3 beautiful, energetic children and loves to spend time with them. Family comes first and he balances his personal and professional life by ensuring that he spends quality time with his family. He enjoys the outdoors by camping, fishing, hunting and traveling.
