Main Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning, Implementation and Evaluation

  • Assist in the development, reviewing existing strategy and business plans.
  • Guide the development and approval of departmental strategies and business plans flowing from and supporting the organisational strategy and business plan.
  • Guide and assist Managers and departmental leadership in the implementation of the strategy.
  • Assist in the management and development of the organisation’s KPI infrastructure to facilitate analysis and reporting of performance against plans and budgets as well as strategic objectives.
  • Provide performance reports for the General Management Team on strategy implementation.
  • Making use of various mediums, communicate approved corporate strategy, targets and initiatives to the workforce.
  • Coordinate with the corporate services department to ensure that education about the strategy management process is included in training programmes. 

Innovation

  • Assist in analysing existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and design new processes to optimise operations and improve productivity.
  • Design and model solutions for customer, systems, products, practice and process innovations.
  • Design, research, develop analyse and suggest new concepts as well as strategies.
  • Lead and direct cross functional team functions, programmes and projects aimed at improving efficiencies. 

Transformation and Change Management

  • Assist in analysing current business operations to identify areas for improvement, develop transformation vision and strategy, and align initiatives with overall organisational goals.
  • Facilitate change management processes with the change management committee.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, actively engage them in the transformation process, and manage expectations.
  • Conduct a thorough cost-benefit analysis including Return on Investment (ROI) and identifying cost optimization strategies to ensure transformation initiatives align with the corporate strategy.
  • Build and lead cross-functional teams, including project managers and technical experts, to execute transformation plans effectively. Risk Management
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the organisation’s ability to achieve its strategic objectives, promoting a proactive risk management culture. 

Research and Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive research on the macro and micro-environment to support strategic planning and innovation initiatives.
  • Ensure research findings are translated into actionable insights that align with organisational strategy and facilitate informed decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Economics / Statistics / Business Analytics.
  • MBA from a reputable institution would be an added advantage.
  • Project Management (PMP®), Organisational Design or Development (CODP®), Change Management (CCMP®) certifications or qualifications would be an added advantage.
  • 5 years’ in a corporate strategy position, business transformation, change management, or process improvement experience with at least 3 years at managerial level is a prerequisite.
  • Tech savvy coupled with knowledge of industry best practises on emerging trends in business transformation.
