The theme of this 2025 budget bulletin is “Building Resilience for Inclusive Growth and Improved Livelihoods”

The 2025 National Budget was presented by the Honourable Minister of Finance to the National Assembly on 27 September 2024.

The country is projected to achieve a positive 2.3% Gross Domestic Product (GDP)  growth in 2024, compared to 5.4% in 2023.

The slowdown in growth is mainly attributed to:

  • Impact of the drought which has significantly reduced agriculture production and
    electricity generation; and
  • Challenges arising from the Russia-Ukraine war.
